PLACES OF WORSHIP

The presence of a place of worship in the landscape, in a town, or a city, signals for us all the presence within temporal experience of the immeasurable: wherever, whenever, and in whatever form it assumes.

Having designed and renovated places of worship to serve congregations with different religions and denominations, we have learned that every religious project has common ground with every other religious project. We have also learned that each will be profoundly different. In every religious architecture project we undertake, we try to define and express an idea that we feel is both universal in its accessibility and singular, belonging only to its place and history.
