Newman Architects has provided architectural design services for residential life projects on 25 architecturally diverse campuses throughout the country. Through this experience we have developed a singular ‘live–learn’ model for residential life design based on the psychological effects of architecture and the developmental needs of the young.

The feasibility/master plan study process is a special opportunity to freely, quickly, and efficiently develop ideas and explore options at the most fertile time in any building endeavor: the beginning. We employ design as a tool to explore and evaluate alternatives, encompassing complex aspects of human experience, process, and environment, in a synthetic way. Working methodically but collegially, we help help institutions achieve their goals with sensitive, measured and economical solutions to the shaping of their built environments.
