Campuses are centers of learning and should provide accessible, stimulating settings for intellectual and social growth.

We have provided master planning services to many academic institutions to help them optimize the use of existing buildings, prioritize and define facility needs, and improve campus circulation. We have helped administrators understand more clearly the assets and liabilities of their campus, allowing them to plan and take action to meet long-range goals in the context of on-going programs and obligations.

Our approach to designing academic buildings gives primary importance to the campus context. We place and shape individual buildings to create and reinforce the making the making of a sense of place on campus. Additionally, our approach attempts to identify and enhance pedestrian paths and use them as important elements in shaping the form of buildings as well as their internal circulation.
